Meeting and eating in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market and Ruddington’s museum village. Our beautiful and distinctive tea rooms will inspire you to relax, get creative, work or study. Walk-in and enjoy seasonal recipes, or book a table in advance to order from our deliciously refreshing summer cocktails menu.
Established in 2014, as a spot to enjoy a quintessential English tea, we quickly grew our menu to include freshly prepared lunches created from locally sourced ingredients and own recipe creations – working with the likes of award-winning producers, The Welbeck Bakehouse, serving their traditionally baked, artisan breads. Our food is then accompanied by a vast array of hot and cold beverages that’ll be sure to quench your thirst.
“The selection of sandwiches and cakes were absolutely delicious. It was all beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very warm and cosy. Will be making a return visit.”

Heavily influenced by vegan sustainability, our menu can also accommodate a number of dietary considerations, with dairy-free, gluten-free and nut-free alternatives to support your preferences.
Our Venue: Nottingham Lace Market
In the heart of Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, on St. Mary’s Gate, sits our Georgian Town House. Our spacious 30-seater tea room is located beyond our gallery with an ambience and atmosphere that is impeccable for working, studying or get-togethers and time-out away from the city centre bustle.
“A gorgeous place filled with gorgeous things.”

Our venue is available for private hire from work presentations and team building sessions to bridal, birthday and anniversary parties. We can work with you to organise and cater to your needs. For more on our creative party bookings, read here.
“It was great to work with Debbie Bryan and her team to organise a Pecha Kucha Nottingham event. The space is really cool, the people are very efficient and easy to work with, and there always seems to be lots of interesting people there.”

“I visited with a large group for afternoon tea. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Our group had a range of dietary requirements and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were brilliant and so accommodating. We had a lovely time. I definitely recommend!”

Our Venue: Ruddington Village
Since opening our newest gallery in Ruddington’s museum village in October 2020, we have been fast approaching the opening our latest Tea Room addition. Opening for a delicious menu of sweet and savoury treats, plus teas, coffees from Girls Who Grind and moresish hot chocolates from Pump Street Chocolate, you can now enjoy indoor and outdoor seating at our beautiful village tea room.
Our fresh fruit scones have become an essential choice to delight in, so much so, we were featured in the 2017 recipe book, the Nottingham Cookbook: Second Helpings, and 2019’s The Little Book of Cakes and Bakes. In each book, you can source our own recipe, passed through generations, with sweet and savoury recommendations to make your own delicious bake at home. You can read our story here, and our recipe here.
Our venue has fast become a unique destination that we’ve since formed promising relationships with chefs and food producers to create a programme of food-focused events.
In 2016, we began an exciting course of Supperclubs with Alchemilla’s, Michelin Star chef, Alex Bond, as well as Nottingham talent Craig Floate, whom over the years have both delivered spectacular menus in our venue. From 2018, we’ve since teamed up with the remarkable chef-duo that form Nottingham’s up-and-coming, Little Ramen Shop, who’s flavoursome Japanese-cuisine are proving exquisitely popular.
“We bought some locally brewed beer – Magpie Brewery – ‘The Stocking Frame’ and ‘Twisthands Only’ – the labels had been designed in the shop, using the old lace patterns!”
Christy, 5* Tripadvisor Review
Since 2014, we’ve also enthusiastically worked with Nottingham micro-brewery, Magpie Brewery, to create our own label real ales. A variety of five wholesome flavours, titled from inspirations of the Nottingham Lace industry history. These being The Lace Market, a roast and smoky dark stout; The Draughtsman, an old English, best bitter; The Barman Lace Machine, a golden hoppy, English ale; The Stocking Frame, a pale hoppy, English ale; and the Twisthands Only, a pale English ale.
