Collection: Nottingham Lace

The opportunity to meet Nick Povey, co-owner of Fewkes Lace Embroidery Company est. 1910 was a catalyst for the creation of our design studio’s heritage archive in 2009. In 1981, Fewkes, the makers of intricate pencil drawings and punchcards also created the Nottingham Lace for Lady Diana Spencer’s Wedding Dress. Our Nottingham Lace collections have continued to grow, The collection now includes intricate Lace fabric and trims from the world-famous Cluny Lace Company. In 2012, Cluny Lace supplied the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace with lace to create Kate Middleton’s royal lace appliqué for her veil and shoes – for her wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
