Nottingham Lace Draughtsman Drawing 212/28918 & 212/28919
One of a kind design, with two drawings in one! Original pencil markings and notes, these designs of both a heart and detailed triangular repeating patterns represent a fine example of the production process for designing and manufacturing intricate Nottingham lace trim fabric.
This drawing was salvaged from Fewkes Lace Embroidery Company, which was established in 1910 and is famously the designer and maker of the Nottingham Lace used for Lady Diana Spencer's wedding dress.
